Invasion of the Forest Snatchers

About the Invasion
The Greenway is being invaded by forest snatchers! Privet, kudzu, wisteria and more are creeping their way through the Greenway and trying to take over. Help us fight the invasion to keep the Greenway & Cook’s Trail diverse and healthy!

Invasion Identification
Keep a sharp eye out for invaders sneaking around your home. Check out our Forest Snatchers line up and be sure to take notes. Identification is your first line of defense.  Keeping invasive plants at bay in your backyard is a simple way to do your part. Avoid planting or buying plants that are known invasives, see our informative guide for a list of alternative plants.

Invasion of the Forest Snatchers- Class notes
Forest Snatchers have been hard at work for quite some time and they’re steadily gaining ground when we lease suspect it! The Greenway has hosted several classes to train the public to tackle these invaders. If you missed the classes check out our class notes to see the line up of Usual Suspects. If you are interested in attending our next class visit the
calendar!

Special Lopperations Teams- WE NEED YOU!
We are recruiting members for our special lopperations teams to help us combat invasive species on the Greenway. Join a team or form your own today! Teams will meet on an assigned Saturday to help with a special invasive removal Greenway service project.
